My green slippersI spent three days working on the slippers and soles, and then another day weaving the straps. Every time I mastered a new skill here, my joy grew. And then it feels like I’ve ended up in the Land of Milk and Honey\u2014I bought some materials to make two more pairs of slippers. This coming year, I’m going to embroider my slippers. I want to make them more feminine.A particularly beautiful week\u2014the studio is full of wonderful felt objects, by the way. I took the time to look at them carefully.Mieke Portegies<\/p>\n\n

I really enjoyed my week of felting with Annemie!Under her watchful eye and with her skilled hands, I learned so much.Helping out in the workshop was also a real pleasure:So much beautiful wool and so many lovely materials to work with.
