It was a great joy and an honor to be able to felt and especially learn with you, under your humorous yet rigorous guidance. – This has been a wonderful time for me – felting with you in beautiful Felto. I have learnt so many new techniques and to be more careful and very importantly patience with my work. Annemie has a great skill in helping everyone in her class doing different projects, but still giving precise guidance for each step. – I love your endless patience, your wonderful Dutch-German (which sounds so charmingly sweet), and your subtle strictness, where, despite all the freedom of choice, you ensure that I do everything professionally, neatly, and correctly. You accept all your participants just as they are!
Five days of embroidery and some felting, enough time to immerse myself in a process that, for me too, is an engagement with my project, accompanied by a ‘good mother,’ knowledgeable and understanding, who embraced my project. I now have confidence that the project will continue to develop, and I can work on it for many more days. – In my mind’s eye, I now see you again and again roaming the Kyrgyz steppes, felting yurts and Shirdak carpets with friendly people.
